Once upon a time, I was rotten. Spoiled rotten. Rotten Robyn. But then, a particular Pastor who hates poodles got down on his knees (on a pillow of course) and popped the question in a very Prince Charming way presenting me with a big diamond ring and proposing we spend the rest of our lives together. That's right - me and the Pastor. A man of God. A Bible scholar. A Ph.D. person. Someone who has the power to cast out demons. Me - I read magazines with pretty pictures. He shops at Goodwill, I prefer my clothes new and I don't like to repeat outfits. Want to see what happens next? Do I take everything he says and turn it into some sort of "Theology for Blondes?" The Search for Strawberry Soda, Part 3
At least someone finds me attractive...
My son, age 8, just got back from summer camp. Bless his heart, he was going to miss me so much, he had to take a picture of Mom with him. Not just any picture, but a 5x7 picture. In a frame.
The other day, we were swimming, and he mentioned to me that some kid at camp took my picture. I said "maybe I reminded him of his mom". My son said "no, he said he had a crush on you". I asked my son "how long did this kid have my picture"? My son said "practically the entire time we were at camp". Finally, my son said he told him...."gimme my mom back"!
Maybe he has a single dad....
